Consulting Overview
Wealthview Capital serves as an independent fiduciary consultant to retirement plan sponsors and participants. We offer a range of plan services which can be selected a-la-carte’ on an as-needed basis or at a discounted rate for an all-inclusive consulting engagement. An important distinction is that we are completely independent, serving the exclusive interests of the plan, its participants and beneficiaries. This means we have no conflicts-of-interest and can assist the plan sponsor in executing their duties in compliance with ERISA regulations. Our services include:
- Benchmarking – Designed to assist responsible plan fiduciaries with their requirement to monitor plan fees and expenses and defend decisions to hire their various service providers thus reducing fiduciary liability. We create a detailed analysis which compares your plan to a peer group of similar plans. Our reports benchmark fees, plan design and participant success measures.
- Plan Design & Governance – We can assist you in optimal plan design which we define as structuring a plan that acheives your goals and meets Global Standards of Fiduciary Excellence.
- Investment Policy – Plan sponsors are required to make policy decisions for their retirement plan. It is a best practice to create an investment committee to whom those policy decisions are delegated and to reduce those decisions to writing in the form of an Investment Policy Statement (IPS). An IPS defines the plan’s goals and objectives and identifies the parties responsible for specific services and quantifies the compensation for those services. We can assist your investment committee in creating an IPS and then meet with that committee on a regular basis to review plan fees, services, participant success measures and investment performance.
- Investment Options – As plan sponsor, you can select your plan’s investment options or delegate that responsibility to a professional but you are still responsible for the prudence of either decision. We can assist you in selecting and monitoring your plan’s investments or we can assume discretion and make those decisions for you.
- Employee Education – Many plan participants are not receiving adequate investment advice to help them obtain a dignified retirement. Wealthview Capital can work with your employees to help them develop a sound retirement strategy.
